God's Delivery System

I like thinking of grace as a channel or a delivery system. God has many attributes but grace isn't an attribute. Angels don't get grace. Grace is for people. Grace is how we experience what God is like.

"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ - by grace you have been saved - and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." - Ephesians 2:4-9 ESV

Salvation is more than, 'You don't go to Hell' in the same way as saying life is more than, 'You don't go to prison.'

Heaven is Heaven because the people there know God. Life is full of joy because of relationships and connections.

This is another morning where I focus on grace and marvel. If grace is not in our thinking we isolate ourselves from God. We can't access who He Is even though He never leaves or forsakes us. Grace isn't natural and our native personality can't create that bridge. Grace 'saves' us once when we first believe and then again and again by reconnecting us to God's mind and heart.

If you feel cut off grace will reconnect you. Jesus will look for you like a lost lamb and reconnect you to the Father by His work.

If we focus on Jesus we will see the Father. He Is the One who connects us to the divine eternal attributes of God.
