'We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you." Colossians 1:3
This is linked closely to the Saints and siblings idea. God's family relationship has been extended to us. In verse 2 Paul greets them with 'Grace and peace' sent from God the Father... As if the Father sits in the room with him.
What a great thought. We are connected over the miles because we have the same Father and we thank this Father as we pray. He is big enough to be present in our rooms no matter where we are.
