Unwrapping Christ's Riches

"To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things..." - Ephesians 3:8-9 ESV

If you wanted to eat a meal at every good restaurant in the world you couldn't do it. As you were eating and traveling new ones would pop up and old ones would close down. The cause is a 'unsearchable' one. A person can only at best get a snapshot or slice of that kind of experience.

Christ's riches are that way. A plan hidden in creation from before creation has had impact the moment time started ticking and will keep compounding until time and space are wrapped up like a garment ushering in the eternal age. Each person only sees a slice of what the 'unlimited atonement' atones.

The cold water of limitless love has smoothed the rough edges of each life by it's current but no single fallen person has truly touched the span of that love. It is unsearchable.

"...so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places." Ephesians 3:10 ESV

A single redeemed soul touches the lives of other people and when two or more are gathered in His name there is an ever expanding dynamic. Like a stone in a pond the ripples of the cross ever expand and expand into eternity.

Let the rulers and authorities see it. Let the spiritual principalities and powers take notice. God's goodness is unstoppable. The multiplication of  Christ's riches are not hindered be death. There may be casualties but the cure will one day overwhelm the disease.

"I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the LORD." Psalms 118:17 ESV

God's riches are unsearchable by telescope and also by microscope. The big things and the small things. They are evident on the inside and also the outside. Hidden since before time but being revealed in time wherever Christ goes and wherever He lives.
