As Ye Sware Unto Her

"And she said, According unto your words, so be it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in the window." Josh 2:21 KJV

"But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the harlot's house, and bring out thence the woman, and all that she hath, as ye sware unto her. And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel." Josh 6:22-23 KJV

Joshua remembered the conversation that Rahab had with His men. He honored their commitment.

Will we harbor the Son of God in our hearts today? In a land hostile to what He stands for we give Him shelter and hang his banner in our window. That means something to the Father who sent Him.

Because of the spies Rahab was saved... because of Christ we are saved.

Believe and the blood of Christ is applied.

Believe and inwardly we are dunked into a new life. Then we do it outwardly as well. We get soaking wet with water, with truth and with fellowship.

At intervals we stop and remember the blood that was shed and the body that was broken.

The thief on the cross didn't have a chance to do very much. He simply believed and had a short conversation with God about it.

If we have once believed a decision was made about our fate inside the Trinity. That decision will stand... God will remember every conversation and every commitment.
