A Channel of Intercession

"So they will say, 'This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.' Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, the LORD, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, the LORD, have spoken it, and I will do it.Thus says the Lord GOD: I will also let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do this for them: I will increase their men like a flock. Like a flock offered as holy sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem on its feast days, so shall the ruined cities be filled with flocks of men. Then they shall know that I am the LORD." Eze 36:35-38 NKJV

This is quite a promise that God gives to Israel. Prayer is the key to it. God is giving a window of prayer and a specific channel of what to pray for. He isn't giving this nation three wishes. He is saying this is what is on the menu.

Doesn't every city need men to multiplied. Men who are like flocks of lambs for the sacrifice.

What will God 'let' the Church ask of Him today? What is on the menu? For Israel their commission was to populate the land and reveal God to the nations. The commission to the Church is to go out into the nations and reveal the Lord.

"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen." Matt 28:18-20 NKJV

The Father says to the Son:

"Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession." Ps 2:8

The Son's prayer becomes our prayer. Missions is on God's menu. He puts it in our hand waiting to serve up redemption. He wants to make the desolate places bloom. He desires that ruined people would be fortified and alive again.

Let's ask in 'Christ's name' and live in agreement with our Heavenly intercessor. The One who ever lives to make intercession for us has this on His heart.
