A lot of reading and studying this morning on a number of topics but not much time to write about what I was studying... Imposter Syndrome... Self-deprecating humor... resentment that comes from compromise... but while I have little time to discuss the issues I do want to present the solution.
"Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you. Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil." - Proverbs 4:23-27 ESV
Jesus is the one to look at. We look straight ahead at Him. He is the solution for arrogance and insecurity alike.
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith" - Hebrews 12:1-2a ESV
