Our moral conscience is like a old floating magnetic compass. If the needle is free to move and is in tune to the magnetic charge of the Earth it can point us in a northerly direction. A helpful tool. Moral magnetic North is not Heaven however. The compass has no power but the one to reveal something as a guide.
"Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:2 ESV
A quicken spirit coupled with a living soul is oriented Heavenward at Christ were Jesus sits at God's right hand in permanent acceptance.
" 'Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch' (referring to things that all perish as they are used) - according to human precepts and teachings? These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are of no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh. If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." - Colossians 2:21 - 3:4 ESV
The new person is not so much focused on the permissions of Earthly life. The focus is on the position of Christ. Where He Is in relation to us means everything.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:19-20 ESV
"Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' " - Hebrews 13:5 ESV
He Is in Heaven and indwelling the believer connecting Heaven to Earth. Grace looks up in a spiritual direction. He have our back facing the past bondage and we go forward face to face with Heaven not looking down at our feet in shame but walking erect with it's light warming our faces.
