And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'" - Matthew 7:22-23 ESV

I think we care for people and try to include them but some won't want it. They will want the benefit of knowing us but never let us into their heart.

Then there are times when we limit access wanting to give more but it is conditional. Love by nature is conditional.

God invites everyone in the world to come but some won't come. Hell will be full of people like that. Not bad people only. There will be good and bad people who just wanted to be their own gods.

Some people are shy because they don't love themselves enough to invite others in. We can't love anyone else until we love our self. Self love is needed to love other people.

Sometimes people give others access they shouldn't have to generate love. They give access to their bodies but not there hearts or their hearts get broken because they trust someone hoping for love in return.

We let God love us. Then we begin to love ourselves and others. Love is painful. Look at Jesus. He said, "Go into the city to a certain man and say to him, 'The Teacher says, My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.'" And the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the Passover." - Matthew 26:17-19 ESV

The Passover was a celebration of God freeing the children of Israel from Egypt. I can't help but look at this room and think that God was going to use it as a 'place of operations' to free people.

"Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned and said to him in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means Teacher). Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord"--and that he had said these things to her. On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you." And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld."" - John 20:16-23 ESVAllan Leitnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17278248167038209038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136467377360225203.post-31690153874537084092018-05-08T08:48:47.274-04:002018-05-08T08:48:47.274-04:00Healthy & secure..🖐You can say that again!Healthy & secure..🖐You can say that again!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08870939806529333335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136467377360225203.post-38539470261122489212018-04-03T06:15:12.954-04:002018-04-03T06:15:12.954-04:00I am here in my Bible reading this morning...

And he told them many things in parables, saying: 'A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil," - Matthew 13:1, 3-5 ESV

"He put another parable before them, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also..." - Matthew 13:24-26 ESV

In one context we see tares as people but in context, they are counterfeit ideas that look true but have no nourishment. The sower has 'good seed' (truth) but the enemy sows tares (bad information). Our young people are receiving bad information that takes up space in their minds and matches their experience in some way but it is not nourishing. It feeds despair.

"He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' So the servants said to him, 'Then do you want us to go and gather them?' But he said, 'No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.'"" - Matthew 13:28-30 ESV

The good sower sows truth and when the season is over in our life we learn what is real and what is false and we become careful to sow the good seed. Young people need good seed sown into their lives. People of every age need that. No matter what their life looks like now. If that seed falls on good ground it produces something wonderful.Allan Leitnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17278248167038209038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136467377360225203.post-67489037471783874342018-03-22T22:10:01.447-04:002018-03-22T22:10:01.447-04:00On Palm Sunday Jesus' feet never touched the M...On Palm Sunday Jesus' feet never touched the Mount of Olives. They dangled inches from the ground as he rode that small animal. Then He taunts the Pharisees about the rocks crying out. I love it. When He returns and His feet touch that mountain those rocks will cry out. The mount of Olives will split in two and become a valley. The common man would never have read Zechariah but those Pharisees knew just what He was talking about. Jesus was humbling Himself for us... feet dangling inches away... people singing at the top of their lungs because of their proximity to the King... Jesus held back who He was as a lion to be the lamb so that we could have life.

Amazing.

One day that mountain will sing and bow down to make way for the coming of the King of Kings.Allan Leitnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17278248167038209038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136467377360225203.post-48602169790448139592018-02-22T21:13:11.996-05:002018-02-22T21:13:11.996-05:00Seasons of prayer are so interesting aren't th...Seasons of prayer are so interesting aren't they? At times there is a calm confidence and others the petition seems to boil over out of you and compassion filled with urgency accompanies hot tears.

I have confidence that I have what I've asked for when there is doctrine to back it up. If a stubborn or blinded person is involved it can be mixed bag. I know God hears but the people still need to choose and I don't believe God overwhelms our volition.

The scripture teaches us that there are some things that we lack because we never asked and all we had to do was ask once. So I want to ask and understand the balance that not everything works that way. God is sovereign and often healing involves that sovereignty. He heals those who never ask for it and He doesn't heal people 10,000 people are praying for. He Is God. He sees and knows everything. So I will plead for the souls of people. I will beg for them shamelessly sometimes like this morning. He is gracious and I know He understands.

Perhaps my petition will mean something I don't fully understand in the angelic contest because I am one of His ambassadors here on Earth. Then later all the tears will make perfect sense.Allan Leitnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17278248167038209038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136467377360225203.post-39235764614653243112017-11-16T06:58:15.377-05:002017-11-16T06:58:15.377-05:00When people use the "not mixing" verses ...When people use the "not mixing" verses try to invalidate scriptures such as those opposing alternative lifestyles, you have to look at the penalties and use some common sense. Was violation death by stoning, or was there no penalty at all? Even Christians have spent so much time saying what the Bible does NOT say, that "all sins are equal in the sight of God", that many of us have lost our interpretive skills. Well, what WAS the penalty for wearing mixed fibers? And what was the penalty for adultery?Howard Merken, Ph.D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09718446830080611303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136467377360225203.post-11054383523493125262016-12-09T12:04:10.927-05:002016-12-09T12:04:10.927-05:00Thanks P. This morning I was looking at this passage which gives perspective to being washed or unwashed.

"And he said to me, 'Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy. Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.' " - Revelation 22:10-16 ESV

A sobering passage. The path we will travel down will be based on this one time washing.

""Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool." - Isaiah 1:18 ESV

I'm praying for a productive day and a joyous weekend for everyone. There is more happening than 'meets the eye.' Our faith has impact our decisions have long lasting implications.
